The room was unkempt and the service was dismissive. it felt unsettling to settle in. Ultimately left due to inadequate heating during a biting cold night.

Had a great time with friends! We caught a match at St James' Park, and it was an easy walk back to the hotel. The outdoor tennis court was a nice bonus after our busy days. The stay was fun and filled with laughter.
The room was quite cramped and the noise from outside was bothersome. Just be prepared for a small space that might feel a bit crowded.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with awful service and a room that was a far cry from the photos—more like a horror movie! No TV, dirty kettle, and an unwelcoming atmosphere made for a terrible stay.

Vending machine was out of order. Friendly staff and a clean room. Billiards table in the common area was fun.

Had a decent time at the hotel with a super comfy bed and a hot shower that really did the trick after a long day. The lounge area was a nice spot to chill and there’s a lovely garden for some fresh air. Just wished the bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner, but overall it was a good stay! 🌟

Check-in was smooth with no delay, which started my stay on a positive note. The mattress in my room felt super comfy, almost like my own bed at home. I appreciated the TV and free Wi-Fi, which worked well during my stay. The shower had great pressure, providing a refreshing start to my day. there were some issues that should be addressed. The room had unclean areas, like dusty surfaces and dirty carpets. Blinds were broken, and there wasn’t a proper mirror in the bathroom. When I spoke to the receptionist about the shower issue, she was rude and dismissive. Another downside was the £10 cash deposit for the key, which felt unnecessary and didn’t add up to the overall experience. The noise from outside was also bothersome, particularly early in the morning.

It was just a balanced option for a holiday in Newcastle upon Tyne with fantastic value for money. The one towel provided was quickly doubled after I asked for an extra, which was nice. Bring cash for the key deposit to avoid any hassle at check-in.

The Grainger Hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The ensuite room was lovely, with a wonderfully comfy bed and crisp white linens. Despite being a budget option, it provided a cozy feeling after a long day, and the nearby transport made getting to the city center easy.
